Tired of Being Tired in Business?

Burnout Showed Me a New Way of Doing Business

· Mindset,Nervous-system Friendly Business

I hit burnout a few years ago and had to step away from my work for three months.
Taking a break wasn’t easy - my mind wanted to keep working, and I was afraid I’d lose all my clients.

The burnout came from not having clear boundaries or structure in my business, and from never giving myself real time to rest. I was so identified with my business that whenever something didn’t go the way I hoped, my sense of self-worth was affected.

I wasn’t truly resting or recharging. Instead, I was constantly thinking about what others needed, doing more, faster, better - always signing up for new trainings because I believed I didn’t know enough.

Pausing my business and stepping back from it really helped. Not doing - just resting, reevaluating, and seeing both myself and the way I was working - was painful but eye-opening. The discoveries came slowly, but in that space of slowing down, I realised this is not how I want to run my business.

The more I allowed myself to feel into this, the more I remembered my clients. I knew there had to be another way. Working with male clients felt different, and I began to sense that women work in a different rhythm. That’s how my journey began - watching, observing, listening more deeply to my clients and to myself. Exploring new ways, learning about seasons, the nervous system, hormones, and our female nature - all of this opened me up to a completely new perspective.

It also led me to a different way of working with my clients. No longer were marketing strategies or industry “musts” the final word. Instead, individual needs and preferences mattered more than what social media algorithms demanded for visibility. I started to focus on communication, safety, and creating supportive collaboration - because I saw how many women carried difficult experiences of working with others.

I hadn’t realised I was working in such a different way until new clients kept arriving and sharing their stories. Again and again, I heard how exhausted, overwhelmed, and tired they felt - tired of being tired in their businesses. It broke my heart, and at the same time, I recognised myself in their words. I could finally see what truly mattered to them, and to me.

Seeing all of this gave me perspective - like flying high and noticing it’s not just my experience.
And it’s not just yours, either.
